Hello!

My name is Malkah the Doula, a full circle doula (providing care from conception and beyond) providing birth & postpartum care to mom’s in the DMV. I am passionate about lowering the infant & maternal mortality rate among women in our community and the scope of my care is based on the timeless traditions of the black granny midwives.

Birth Doula Services include but are not limited to

  • Weekly visits
    Accompaniment to Drs appt

  • Microgreen delivery 2x a month

  • Access to evidence based information

  • Access to herbal apothecary

  • Access to growing library of pregnancy & birth literature

  • Access to resources (local & virtual) Continuous labor & birth support


Postpartum Visits include but are not limited to

  • Visits 2x weekly for 6 weeks Visits once a month for 6 months

  • Breastfeeding support

  • Access to herbal apothecary

  • Padsicles & Postnatal Sitz bath

  • African American belly binding

  • Errands

  • Light housekeeping

  • Meal prep

  • Respite child care
